The first-ever "King of Trucks" DRAG RACES will be held at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York on Saturday Afternoon, May 28, 2011. This DRAG RACE is designed for strictly "off the street" trucks and will be conducted using a Pro Tree with lights over a 200 foot dirt surface on the normal stock car race track. Three divisions of DRAG RACING are scheduled: 1. 8000 lb Street Licensed Diesel 4x4 Trucks with 2.6 Turbo 2. 6200 lb Street Licensed Gasoline 4x4 Trucks 3. Unlimited Street Licensed Semi Trucks with single Turbo-Charger All entries must show proof that the truck is licensed for the highway. All drivers must show a valid state issued driver's license. Entry fee is $20.00 per truck. Any class with over eight entries will be conducted using a 'single elimination' format. Entry will open at NOON and will close with the start of the first division of DRAG RACING. Purse money will be paid to each of the three classes: $200 to winner; $100 to runner-up and $50 to each of the trucks that were defeated by the top two in the semi-finals. This DRAG RACE is a part of the 'King of Trucks' Super Show at the New York State Fairgrounds on Memorial Day week-end - 2011. SLED PULLING will be held in the evening session on Saturday, May 28.
